Can I change the Client ID in OptionsApp?

1. What is the Client-ID?
The Client-ID is a unique identifier that programs like OptionsApp use to connect to Interactive Brokers' Trader Workstation (TWS). It's used to distinguish API connections from each other.
2. Recommendation: Client-ID = 0
Using Client-ID 0 has special permissions: it allows OptionsApp to recognize manually placed orders and existing positions. This helps avoid conflicts with automatically placed orders and ensures position sizes are monitored correctly.
That's why we recommend setting the Client-ID to 0.
3. Can I change the Client-ID?
Yes, you can adjust the Client-ID in OptionsApp's Settings under the API Settings section.
