Can OptionsApp run on 2 sub-accounts in parallel?

Yes, you can use OptionsApp with multiple sub-accounts simultaneously. To do this, simply create a separate Session in OptionsApp for each sub-account.

Please note the following:

• Each account (or sub-account) requires its own OptionsApp instance.
• You can run multiple instances of OptionsApp and TWS in parallel, for example, on the same computer or on different systems.
• Each Session needs a unique port in TWS as well as in OptionsApp.

Example port assignment:

• First TWS & OptionsApp: Port 7496
• Second TWS & OptionsApp: Port 7497

This way, each app instance can communicate independently with its corresponding TWS instance.

Note on subscription tier:

• By default, 2 parallel Sessions are possible.
• The Pro Plus package allows 3 Sessions.
• The Ultimate package enables up to 4 parallel Sessions.

Important: If you want to run two TWS instances in parallel, whether for paper trading or different sub-accounts, you must create a second user at Interactive Brokers. This user must also be equipped with live market data, otherwise complete price data cannot be guaranteed.
