Video 18: Exit Conditions
This video shows how to set up Exit Conditions in OptionsApp starting from version 1.4, in addition to Entry Conditions, to automatically close trades once certain criteria are met.
First, using a 14-day Bull Put Spread strategy as an example, it explains how to specify that a trade opens every Friday at 11 AM, but only if no other trade is currently active, and that it automatically closes as soon as VIX rises above 20.
Next, an example with a 0-DTE strategy follows, which starts daily at 10 AM and ends when the intraday movement of SPX is greater than 1%.
It clarifies that Exit Conditions always function as triggers: they only respond when the condition switches from "not met" to "met" during the trade's runtime.
Using these examples, it demonstrates step-by-step how various market indicators or price movements can be leveraged as triggers for automatically closing positions.
