Video 2: Setting Up OptionsApp & TWS

To set up OptionsApp, you first need to make sure that both Trader Workstation (TWS) and OptionsApp are using the same timezone, ideally US Eastern Time. Next, you start TWS, log in, and enable the API connection in the settings, where the Socket Port (e.g. 7497) is opened for communication. In OptionsApp, you create a new Session, enter the same port, and save the settings. Once the connection is successfully established, the app displays a green connection status and, if you're using a Paper Account, a corresponding notification banner. With that, your basic connection is set up and you can start using the app.
