Request IB Server Change (zdc1.ibllc.com)
Issue with non-European server connections
It has been found that many issues occur with accounts connected to a non-European IB server (e.g., ndc1.ibllc.com). Connecting to the European server zdc1.ibllc.com (Zurich) often results in significantly more stable performance and lower latency.
Even if "Synchronization Warnings" are displayed, this can be related to the location of your TWS server. OptionsApp is not receiving all the necessary information from TWS or cannot load it from the IB server.
Example of an IB server connection status with US server connection
Below you can see a screenshot of an IB account connected via a US server. You can identify this by the marked server designations.
You can find an overview of the servers here: https://www.ibkrguides.com/kb/article-2816.htm
Request a server switch
Important: How you request the server switch depends on which Introducing Broker your IB account is routed through.
If your account is routed through Advanced Finance
In this case, do not create a ticket directly through the IB portal. Instead, please send an email with the English text below to info@advanced-finance.ch. Herbert Thomas will then handle forwarding your request to Interactive Brokers and oversee the technical implementation.
If your account is managed directly with Interactive Brokers
In that case, you'll need to submit a ticket with IB yourself. To do this, log into your account on the IB website, click the envelope icon in the top right, and select "Technical Support > Connectivity". Use the English text below as the basis for your ticket as well.
