Video 6: BAT File for Quick Server Startup
Updated: April 16, 20251 min read
A batch file makes it easy to simplify remote connections to a server on Windows: instead of manually launching the Remote Desktop app each time, just double-click the file. The file contains the command start mstsc and the server's IP address. After saving, you need to change the file extension to .bat. On your first connection, you'll be prompted for a password, which can be saved for future use. You can edit the file anytime using a text editor.
